World Excellence Awards the organisation that runs the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) has today announced the launch of the Workplace Violence Reduction Awards (WVRAs).
The WVRAs are designed to recognise those who excel in different aspects of reducing violence in all types of workplaces in any sector. These awards are designed to be both independent and inclusive, and they are open to anyone who excels at reducing workplace violence.
The criteria for these awards are based on extensive research on key factors that contribute to and characterise outstanding performance. The WVRAs are sponsored by Maybo and are being set up in collaboration with key industry associations and groups.
Commenting on the launch of the awards founder of World Excellence Awards, Professor Martin Gill said: ‘Reducing harm and the risk of victimisation in workplace settings have become highly skilled areas with enormous implications for all organisations, their employees and other stakeholders. We are delighted to be launching these new awards to recognise those outstanding performers; this is an area where being excellent really matters.’

Entry to the WRVAs opens on 28 August 2024 through to 28 January 2025 and nominations are invited in the following categories:
Outstanding Leadership
Outstanding Training Initiative
Outstanding Partnership Initiative
Outstanding De-escalation Skills
Outstanding Safe Settings/Spaces
